Additional Template Details
- This project management framework is comprised of two master databases, each connected to the other via circular referencing
- Master Projects Database
- Master Notes Database
- Items in the Master Notes Database should be tagged with relevant projects from the Master Projects Database
- A project must be created before notes can be linked to it
- Notes can be connected to multiple projects
- When viewing one database, you can jump to its connected counterpart(s) by clicking the associated page link(s)
- The button automations are not required, but do help eliminate friction in creating new projects/notes
- These buttons can be placed anywhere in your Notion workspace so long as the database connections are maintained in each one’s settings
- If you’d rather not use these buttons, you can also just add new line items to each database directly
- Each Project Template page includes a filtered view of the Master Notes Database—this is to help ensure only relevant notes are listed on each project’s page
- The pages within the Projects by Area section simply include filtered views of the Master Project Database
- I’ve adapted this framework from the one Jeff Su outlines in this video
